On April 5, in the course of the meeting of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations Organization, Turkmenistan was elected to three structures of this authoritative international organization: the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development for the period 2017-2020, the Commission on Population and Development for the period 2016-2020, and the Commission for social development for the period 2017-2021.
